Makaylee "Mak" Secrest (she/her) is a theatre director interested in the power of presence and perspective. Through collaboration and creative problem-solving, her work aims to rouse self-awareness and inspire empathy in audiences. Her unique method of incorporating psychology into character development transforms well-known stories as characters come to life with specificity. She is most excited by projects that explore complex social and moral issues and work to dismantle oppressive ideologies.
