Makaylee "Mak" Secrest is a director, arts administrator, and actress born and based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Having earned a B.F.A. in Theatre Performance from Louisiana State University in May 2024, she is currently pursuing the next step toward a career in artistic leadership.

Mak is deeply commitment to advancing the artform of theatre by assisting in the development of new work and the implementation of equitable practices. Her belief in theartre-makers role as community-builders drives her passion for deepening community engagement through public programming and partnerships. 

In her free time, Mak enjoys collaging, live music, film photography, and learning new board games.
